SPECIFIC ACTION TO BEGIN WITH

 

The evidence presented in this paper has precipitated the following specific recommendations for immediate action by the Caribbean Countries as follows:

  • A meeting of Caribbean Zoos to form and Association of Caribbean Zoos and Ex situ Conservation and Production Centres

  • Establish a Zoo in every Caribbean Country

  • Improve those Zoos that exist

  • Integrate Zoo and Wildlife Conservation, Management, Production and Utilization into the School Curriculum.

The Emperor Valley Zoo, Trinidad

 

While the above is being done with a strong Education and Research Component in association with the OTF-APL, a strategy is being suggested for Trinidad and Tobago.
